Terms

Last updated: June 4, 2026

Only One Input ("OOI", the "Site") is a hobby project operated by Adam Skrzypczak (Poland) at onlyoneinput.com. By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

What OOI is

One global text input. Anyone can type into it. Two layers:

OOI is part-art, part-experiment. It is not a service you should rely on for anything important.

Patron ≠ author

Paying to save a sentence on the wall does not transfer authorship of that sentence. You are credited as the patron — the person who preserved it — not the author. Authorship of the underlying sentence stays with whoever originally typed it (often anonymous). OOI does not claim, attribute, or sell authorship; it sells the patron slot.

You may save a sentence you authored yourself (e.g. you typed it, saw it appear, then paid to save it) — in that case you happen to be both author and patron, but the patron credit is still the public framing.

Don't save a sentence you know infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, publicity rights, or similar. If a rights holder objects, we will remove the entry (see "Content rules" below).

Payments

Payments are processed by a third-party merchant-of-record payment processor. They handle billing, tax and card data — we never see your card details. The processor's own terms and privacy policy apply to that step; the current processor and a link to its policies are shown during checkout.

You decide how much to pay ($1 minimum). Tiers and dwell times are listed on the Site and may change; the tier in effect at the moment of payment is the one you get.

Refunds

If your paid message is rejected by moderation, you get a full automatic refund via the same payment processor that took the payment, normally within a few business days. You'll get an email when it's issued.

Otherwise paid messages are non-refundable once published, because the product (a permanent ranked leaderboard slot displayed publicly) has been fully delivered at the moment of publication. Please choose your amount carefully before confirming the payment — we are not able to refund based on change of mind about the amount paid.

Nothing in these refund terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under applicable law, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive and Polish consumer protection law. If the payment processor (the merchant of record) issues a refund under its own policy or as required by law, we will honor that refund regardless of what is stated above.

14-day right of withdrawal — digital content. Under EU and Polish consumer law, consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. This right does not apply to digital content that is delivered before the 14 days expire, provided the consumer expressly consented to the immediate delivery and acknowledged the loss of the withdrawal right (EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m); Polish Act on Consumer Rights Art. 38(13)). By confirming the payment at checkout you give this consent: your paid message is published to the wall immediately upon successful moderation, and the right of withdrawal does not apply to it.

Content rules

You are responsible for what you type. Do not submit:

Free messages pass through an automated moderation check (Meta's Llama Guard via Cloudflare Workers AI). Paid messages run through the same automated check; any paid message the check flags is held in a manual review queue and is published only if approved, or refunded if rejected. Clean paid messages publish immediately.

We may reject, remove, or refuse to display any message that violates the rules above, applicable law, or — for paid entries — the patron link policy. Rejection of a paid message triggers a refund as described in the "Refunds" section above.

"Save forever" is a promise, not a guarantee

Paid messages are intended to remain on the wall indefinitely. That said, OOI is a single-person project with no funding model beyond what comes in. If the Site shuts down, gets shut down, or breaks irrecoverably, your leaderboard slot may disappear. We will not delete published paid messages capriciously, but we cannot promise infinity.

The "$1,000,000" goal on the progress bar is an aspirational frame for the project, not a contractual commitment. Nothing in particular happens when it is reached.

Your content, your rights

You keep all rights to what you write. By submitting a message into the free input, you grant OOI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license, limited to what is necessary to operate the Site, to: (a) display the message live to other connected users; (b) — if someone later pays to save it — display it on the wall as a patron-credited entry; and (c) use a screenshot or quote of the message in occasional posts about the project (e.g. social media, press, the project's About page). This license is what makes the patron mechanic and public framing of the project possible.

If you are the original author of a sentence that someone else saved as a patron, you can ask us to remove that entry from the wall by contacting us. We will remove the entry promptly upon a reasonable request. Whether the patron is refunded in such a case is decided on a case-by-case basis taking into account how long the entry was displayed and the reason for removal; non-waivable consumer rights apply.

If you are the patron of an entry and want it removed, you can also ask — we will remove it. Refunds in this situation are at our reasonable discretion based on circumstances (e.g. how long the entry was publicly displayed), and your non-waivable consumer rights are not affected.

Patron links

If you provide a link with your patron entry, it must point to your own site or a site you are authorized to promote. We render patron links with rel="nofollow noopener ugc" so they do not pass SEO authority. We may reject or remove patron entries whose links are scams, malware, phishing, NSFW, infringing, illegal, or otherwise abusive. URL shorteners are not accepted — paste the destination URL directly.

Service availability and liability

OOI is a single-person hobby project. We do our best to keep it running but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, data persistence beyond what is described in these terms, or that every feature will always work as expected. The Site may experience downtime, bugs, or other technical issues. Any statutory warranties and consumer protections under applicable law (including Polish and EU consumer law) remain in full force and are not excluded or limited by this section.

Subject to the paragraph below, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for damages arising from your use of the Site is limited to the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim (or zero if you paid nothing).

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for: (a) intentional misconduct or gross negligence; (b) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including non-waivable consumer rights under Polish and EU consumer law.

Changes

These terms may change over time. The version dated at the top is the current one.

Material changes — anything that affects your rights, refunds, pricing, paid mechanics, or how we handle your data — will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date will be revised. If you do not agree with a material change, please stop using the Site before the change takes effect; the previous terms apply to anything you did before that date.

Non-material changes (typos, clarifications, formatting, contact details, processor name updates) take effect when published. Continued use of the Site after non-material updates means you accept them. Your non-waivable consumer rights are not affected.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Poland. Any dispute should first be raised by email; failing that, the competent Polish courts have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of your country of residence.
